Dairy cows and pigs require good quality protein for healthy growth. Rapeseed meal is used mainly in farm animal feeds and it is the principal complementary protein source in dairy cow feeds.

Salmonella control in rapeseed meal

The Finnish Food Authority oversees feed hygiene in Finland. The ETT association maintains a positive list of feed importers and manufacturers who voluntarily demonstrate their risk management capabilities regarding salmonella above the statutory minimum level.

Monitoring feed hygiene

Nordic Soya is a member of the positive list. We also maintain close and purposeful contact with the Finnish Food Authority and ETT association personnel.
